Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Bringing oxygen to tissue that needs to recover

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is an adjunct treatment that supports the recovery of oxygen-deprived wounds, peripheral tissue with reduced blood flow, and flap or graft tissue.

Hyperbaric oxygen chamber

How it works

So that oxygen can reach tissue that is slow to recover

The raised pressure inside the chamber increases the amount of oxygen dissolved in the plasma, and that oxygen diffuses into the tissue.

When it applies

Not every recovery needs it

SOON BE Clinic looks at the condition of the tissue and the aim of treatment, and suggests it carefully only where benefit can be expected.

What to know beforehand

What you may feel during treatment

For safe treatment, here are the temporary reactions that may follow.

01

Fullness in the ears

With the change in pressure your ears may feel blocked, as they do during take-off and landing.

02

An enclosed space

During treatment you may feel confined or slightly dizzy inside the enclosed space.

03

When a check is needed first

If you have a cold or a blocked nose, an ear condition or a lung condition, please tell us in advance.
