Lip Filler

Volume that looks natural when you speak

Lips move more than anything else on the face. We decide volume and placement by how they look when you talk and smile, not at rest.

Our principle

Judged in conversation, not in front of a mirror

Making filler look good at rest is the easy part. The hard part is making sure it does not look odd when you speak and smile.

That is why we talk with you in the consultation rather than only looking at photos. How the corners lift and how far the upper lip rolls back is what decides the volume.

LIP FILLER

Beautiful lips are not made by volume alone

Close-up of lips

The structure of the lips

What you cannot see matters as much as what you can.

Precise lip design begins with a close understanding of the layers of the lip and the position of its vessels and muscles.

Design principles

Rather than projecting forward, I aim for a shape that extends naturally in width and height; the philtrum is designed to appear shorter, and asymmetry is refined closer to balance.

Filling fully where it is needed and judging carefully where to hold back, in harmony with the face yet with a clear presence —

I design ‘young lips’.

Scope

Five starting points

We don’t reduce it to ‘making lips bigger’.
We start with what is actually bothering you.

01

Thin lips

We look at the upper-to-lower ratio first. Usually a small adjustment to the upper lip reads more naturally than enlarging the lower.

02

Long philtrum

Sometimes the reason lips look small is the philtrum, not the lips. Filling in that case only makes it look longer.

03

Downturned corners

Filler alone doesn’t always solve this. If the cause is muscular, we will tell you about other options.

04

Asymmetry

Many asymmetries show only when you smile. A still photo won’t capture them.

05

Correcting previous filler

If it has clumped or been overfilled, we consider dissolving before adding anything more.

Process

How the day goes

About 40 minutes including consultation. The injection itself takes around 15.

01

Watching the movement

We watch your lips while you talk and smile. If useful, we review it together on video.

02

Choosing product and volume

We tell you the product name and volume beforehand, and you can watch it being opened.

03

Numbing, then injecting

We inject 20 minutes after applying topical anaesthetic. The procedure takes about 15 minutes.

04

Review at two weeks

We look again once the swelling has gone. That is why we don’t fill everything in one sitting.

Recovery

Until the swelling settles

Your lips right after the injection are not the result.
If you have something important coming up, leave two weeks clear.

Day of treatment

Peak swelling

They look far larger than the volume injected. Do not judge the result from this state.

Days 2 — 3

Swelling halves

If bruising occurred, this is when the colour is deepest.

1 week

Back to daily life

Nothing shows from the outside, but it is still settling.

2 weeks

Final shape · review

We see you again, and top up a small amount if needed.

6 — 12 months

Gradual absorption

It is not permanent. Maintaining it requires repeat treatment.

Risks and limits

What to know
beforehand

We write this as large as the good news.
Nothing here is in small print.

Swelling and bruising

Lips are rich in blood vessels, so they bruise easily. It cannot be prevented.

Lumps and asymmetry

A palpable lump or a left-right difference can remain. It is usually correctable.

Not permanent

It is absorbed over 6–12 months. Maintaining it means a repeat cost.

Herpes flare-up

If you have had cold sores, they can recur after treatment. Please tell us in advance.

Vascular complications

Rarely, filler entering a blood vessel can lead to skin necrosis. We keep emergency medication on hand at all times.

Not quite what you pictured

Your lips may not end up like the photo you brought, because the underlying bone structure differs.

Pricing

Flawless work, fairly priced

Lip filler is priced by product and volume, which is why we can post it in advance.

We list the price per 1cc for each product, and the small top-up at two weeks is not charged separately.

Non-covered fees are posted under Article 45 of the Medical Service Act.
